We have been cutting diamonds since before it was fashionable to talk about how they're made. Most companies entered lab-grown because the market moved. We entered because we saw in the science the same invitation the craft has always extended: to make something perfect from the first moment, with nothing left to chance.

TRP Impex was founded in Surat in 1995 by Tulsibhai Shankar — but the story begins nearly two decades earlier. Around 1976, Tulsibhai began working in the diamond trade, learning the craft in the workshops of Lathi, moving through Bhavnagar wherever the work was being done with the most care.
By 1984, he had his first small factory of his own. Two polishing wheels. One standard he has never lowered.
In 1988, he arrived in Surat. In 1995, Shivam Export was formally established — a manufacturer of natural diamonds, small stones made with the same precision that defined those first two wheels.
When the science made it possible to grow a diamond with the same discipline the earth takes a billion years to deliver, the decision was not difficult. We manufacture exclusively using the HPHT process. Every stone IGI certified or held to the same standard in our selected non-certified parcels. Supplying trade buyers across the globe.
The name changed. The standard didn't.

A Hearts & Arrows diamond is a round brilliant cut to an exact geometric standard. Examined through a Hearts & Arrows viewer, a correctly cut stone reveals two distinct patterns — eight perfectly symmetrical arrowheads when viewed face-up through the crown, and eight perfectly matched hearts when viewed face-down through the pavilion.
Most manufacturers do not cut Hearts & Arrows. For manufacturers optimising for yield, it is an expensive commitment. For manufacturers optimising for light — H&A is the only honest way to cut a round diamond.
